For Christians, the Season of Lent is an important time of reflection and prayer to deepen our faith in the promises of Jesus Christ's resurrection. It's a time to listen more closely to God.
In this week's reading from the Book of Genesis, Abraham gives us a good example. Abraham listened and was ready to respond as God willed. Abraham shows us that we need to constantly listen to God’s call in our ever-changing lives.
Remember to take the time during Lent to really listen for God's voice. Spiritual reading, giving to charity and fasting are just some of the traditional Lenten disciplines that can help us do that.
