Faith Moment Listening 3

Transcript of audio:

In the Gospel readings, we see many examples of Jesus going off by himself to secluded places for prayer.

As Christians, we are called to act like Christ.  Jesus slipped away to these quiet places to commune with God without distraction. Reflective prayer should be an important part of our mission.

In the Gospel this week, we saw Jesus lead Peter, John and James up to a high mountain, away by themselves. Jesus was bringing them closer to God the Father through a very special and personal experience.

Find your high mountain -- your church or place of worship, a quiet place in your home -- and spend time alone getting closer to God.
