The second reading this week teaches that Jesus Christ is the source of eternal salvation for all who follow Him.
So what does this mean? How do we follow Him? Is there a strict set of rules we must follow to the letter?
While the 10 Commandments are much more than a set of good ideas, following Jesus involves a daily choice to live a life of integrity and to love one another. So instead of memorizing a lot of rules and regulations, what we need to do is follow Jesus’ example of how to love God and love others.
What motivates you in the choices you make? God wants you to have the gift of salvation. It is up to you to live a life worthy of that gift.
