This week, we have reflected on love in action.
We all express love in many ways – a gift, a hug. Probably the most important expression of love is when we are willing to make sacrifices for the well-being of others, expecting nothing in return.
If we take the time to look, we will see examples of this kind of love in action all around us. The care-givers tending to the sick and elderly. The volunteers helping to feed the poor. Our spiritual leaders working to spread the Gospel message.
What we are seeing is true, deep and selfless love – a love like God has for all of us. Christians believe the ultimate example of such love is found in the life and death of Jesus.
