We all like it when things work out our way. Thatís human nature. But as the saying goes, ďIf you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans.Ē
In the Book of Acts, chapter 9 we learn from Paul the importance of keeping our mind open to changing circumstances. After Jesus appeared to him on the road to Damascus, Paul changed his ways from persecuting Christians to becoming one of the most influential early Christian leaders. New information changed his outlook completely
The other disciples, though, they were afraid of him and didnít believe in his conversion. But it was Paul's actions that eventually convinced them to trust him.
From Paul we learn not to seek power over others or try to control a situation so it works out best for us. Rather God wants us to keep an open mind and cooperate with one another toward a common goal of love and peace.
