This week's readings teach us about the fruits of the Spirit, the nine visible attributes of a true Christian life, according to St. Paul's Letter to the Galatians.
They are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. We can't have unity without them.
Are these attributes visible in your life? If not, every day brings new opportunities to work on them. Try showing love by being of service to others. Spread joy by giving more of yourself. Bring peace by letting go of hatred. You get the picture.
When each of us demonstrates the fruits of the Spirit in our lives, true unity continues to build...and the world around us becomes a better place.
