This week’s Gospel of the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and fish provides us with an abundance of hope as we reflect upon the lavish gift of God’s love.
Jesus gives to us a preview of heaven on earth, a look forward to the fulfillment of God’s promises in the gift of Eternal Life.
Certainly, God’s love nourishes us today in our spiritual need. Catholics believe this is especially true in the Gift Jesus gives of Himself in the Holy Eucharist, in which we begin to share and glimpse life everlasting. In this gift, we hope for and long for our true home, heaven.
The miracle of multiplication of the loaves and fish is one way Jesus desires to lead us to the fullness of life through faith, hope and love.
