In his letter to the Ephesians, St. Paul talks about the commitment required to have true and lasting intimacy. He speaks about sacrifice, investment, honesty and trust.
Think about your intimate relationships – maybe it’s a spouse, parent or a close friend. Are those qualities present? How about your relationship with God?
We are invited to receive God's gift of love and intimacy every day.
But it is up to us to accept this gift and show God we want to be part of the most intimate union with Him. There are many ways we can do this including attending Mass or worship services; helping the less fortunate; caring for the sick; and praying often.
When we freely give of ourselves to do His will, we say yes to God's love.
