In the second reading this week, James poses the question, "what good is it if someone says he has faith but does not have works?" James makes it quite clear that faith is completed in actions.
Caring for the sick. Feeding the hungry. Assisting the poor. Loving one another as God loves us.
True discipleship means rolling up our sleeves and making a commitment to live out our faith as Jesus has shown us.
Canadian songwriter Bruce Cockburn wrote, "Nothing worth having comes without some kind of fight. You've got to kick at the darkness 'til it bleeds daylight."
Ask God to help you kick at the darkness – to take action and spread His glorious light as a true disciple.
