We have been discussing the readings this week which are about the Christian Feast of the Epiphany.
In this feast Christians celebrate the "shining forth" or the revelation of God to humankind in the person of Jesus Christ.
In many parts of the world the Feast of Epiphany is as important a celebration as Christmas. That is because it reinforces that God's gift of great love has been revealed and God's presence is ongoing and everlasting.
The Epiphany reminds us to follow God's great light, not just one day out of the year, but every day. Even in our darkest times, God will be present to guide us. But we must look for the light...through prayer...by attending Mass or services...and by being willing to act as a star for God, shining forth in our service to others.
Our light has come and the glory of God seeks to shine upon all. Welcome the Epiphany into your life.
