We see from this week's readings that those called to do God's will don't always feel up to the challenge. Isaiah, Paul and Peter all express some sense of inadequacy, accepting that they don't measure up to what God wants.
But here is the key lesson. They all take the risk and willingly embrace God's will. Because they know God is with them as they turn in a new direction to follow Him.
We may not be called to make such radical changes as quitting a job or moving to another country for God. But God does constantly call us to change, to follow the example of Jesus and give of ourselves for the benefit of others.
Don't be concerned that you may not measure up to what God wants. Rest assured that if God calls, God will be with you.
