Faith Moment Vocations 3

Transcript of audio:

This week's Gospel is about the call of Peter by Jesus to "feed his sheep".  Peter’s call offers a lesson for all of us about vocations. In Peter, we see what love looks like. He willingly answers God's call to "tend His sheep" even though he knows it won’t be easy.

As with Peter, a call from God is a call to put love into action by meeting the needs of others without expecting anything in return.  Sometimes it’s a private ministry – such as caring for an elderly parent, or nursing a sick child.  Sometimes it’s more public – such as volunteering at a hospital or church function. God sees it all.   And all are vocations.

Remember, like Peter and the apostles, God is always with us when we put love into action.
