Faith Moment Advocacy 3

Transcript of audio:

Paul David Hewson is among the leading advocates for justice in the world today.  Known for human rights advocacy, he has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize...granted honorary knighthood by Queen Elizabeth...and was once named Person of the Year by Time Magazine.

If you've never heard of Paul Hewson, you may know him better by his stage name – as Bono, lead singer for the rock band, U2.

Bono demonstrates the advocacy that God calls us all to. He has raised awareness of the plight of Africa and has worked to end world hunger. He collaborated with Pope John Paul II on debt relief for 23 poor countries.

Of his advocacy, Bono once said, "much work is left to be done to be a part of God's ongoing purpose."

May his example stir the Holy Spirit in us to be part of God's ongoing purpose in our world.
