Are you a decisive person?
Our readings this week, particularly the Gospel, remind us of the importance of decisiveness, and being firm, in our faith.
If you are a decisive person – in business, in school, or as head of the household – you carefully look at all the information available before making an important decision. You look ahead to the possible outcomes of the choices before you and then act decisively and firmly to secure the future.
Jesus tells us in the Gospel that we must be decisive in our faith, keeping our focus on God and his promise of heaven – not on earthly things and their false promises. "No servant can serve two masters," Jesus explains.
The more information you have – the more you get to know God and His will – the more decisive you will be in your faith. You can be confident that serving God and His mission for us to serve others are at the base of many a right choice and decision.
