On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month in the year 1918 hostilities ceased between the Allied nations and Germany, thus marking the end of World War I. Today, Veteran’s Day, we commemorate that event as we honor the great courage and bravery of our men and women who served in what has been called “the war to end all wars.”
Tomorrow and Wednesday these messages will explore the theme of courage as it is portrayed in some select scriptures. But today let’s pause to remember all the veterans of the Unites States military. It is through their courage and sacrifice that you and I live in a nation where we enjoy religious freedom.
On behalf of the community of Christ the King Seminary I say a profound thank you to all our veterans. You have our most sincere gratitude for your service to our country, one nation under God.
