Becoming a Servant-Minister After the Mind and Heart of Jesus the Servant
Facilitated by Rev. Peter Drilling
Who should attend: Priests, deacons, religious, lay ecclesial ministers, CKS students, alumni and others wishing to enter more deeply into the meaning of the baptismal call to serve in the name and the spirit of Christ Jesus.
Program: The retreatants will be invited to pray about the servant Christology of Mark 8:22-10:52. Lectio divina, imaginative prayer, and contemplation will all be encouraged. At each morning session, Fr. Drilling will give a presentation on one section of this part of the Gospel, not so much exegetical, but as an invitation to reflect on how the retreatants are continuing to be formed as disciples of Jesus and ministers of his Gospel. Each afternoon session will be conversation among the retreatants on discernment of their engagement with this Scripture.
Accommodations: Most, but not all, of the rooms are air-conditioned.
