Finances

Christ the King Seminary strives to keep tuition affordable and the tuition received only covers a portion of the actual program costs. Donations from benefactors, including alumni, trustees, friends and foundations, supplement tuition revenue to meet the actual instructional costs.

We realize that our students face many differing financial situations and we will work with the student to enable them to benefit from an education at Christ the King Seminary. Students may be eligible for Jordan Parish Assistance Program grants with sponsorship from their parish, institutional grants and Federal Stafford Loans.

PAYMENT OF TUITION FEES

Tuition and fees are billed to students prior to the beginning of each semester. Payment deadlines are as follows: Fall Semester-August 15; Spring Semester-January 5; Summer Semester-May 15. Fees are payable in U.S. currency by cash, check, or credit card. For those students who are unable to pay their account in full by the due date, arrangements may be made by contacting the finance office. Diplomas and transcripts will not be released if a student's financial account is in arrears. A studentís registration is subject to cancellation if charges have not been paid or the student has not made other financial arrangements by the payment due date.

LEAVE OF ABSENCE

All matriculants not registering for a course in a given semester must be approved for a leave of absence by the academic office. A fee of $75 will be charged for the semester.
