Bishop Richard J. Malone will preside over Solemn Choral Vespers for the First Sunday of Advent on Sunday, Dec. 2, at 4 p.m., at Christ the King Seminary’s St. John Vianney Chapel in East Aurora.
Evening Prayer includes chanted dialogue, seasonal hymns, readings from sacred scripture and the singing of the Magnificat, the traditional Canticle of Mary. The chorus will be under the direction of Alan D. Lukas, music director at the seminary.
A holiday reception will follow the service. All are welcome.
