Lenten Dinner Lecture: The Journey to Gethsemane in the Gospel of St. Mark

Wed Mar 14th, 2018 - 5:30 to 8 pm
Presented by Msgr. Richard Siepka, Director of Spiritual Formation
St. Mark's moving portrayal of Christ in Gethsemane in Mark 14:32-42 deals powerfully with the themes of discipleship, prayer, and sacrifice as well as the very identity of Jesus, himself. In this Year B of the Sunday cycle of readings in which St. Mark's Gospel is featured, this lecture will serve as an entry into the entire Passion narrative of the Gospel of St. Mark as we approach Palm Sunday and the celebration of the Easter Triduum.

Dinner begins at 5:30 in our main dining room, followed by the lecture at 6:30. Lecture will last about an hour, followed by time for Q&A and discussion.
