Presented by Eileen Warner and Michael Sherry

Developing a Parish Bible Study/Faith Sharing Program

Program

Join us for an overview of how one approaches a Catholic study of scripture, what is particular to the Catholic bible, and how to distinguish a Catholic study program from others in the field. Led by Eileen Warner, MAPM (Director of Mission) and Michael Sherry (MDiv, Academic Dean), discussion will explore how bible study can lead to faith sharing among the participants and throughout the parish community. The instructors will recommend options of solid programs for use in parishes; walk through how to train parish facilitators for this ministry; and explore specifics regarding materials and publicity for launching this ministry within your parish or vicariate. This workshop is ideal for volunteers or parish staff who may not necessarily have working knowledge of sacred scripture but are interested in establishing this ministry in their parish. .
