Christ the King Seminary will hold a directed silent retreat on the East Aurora campus the week of July 5. Individuals take part as they wish in daily prayer and liturgy and meet once each day with their director. The experience of God in an environment of silence is encouraged on this retreat. Participants can choose from either a 3-day (July 5-8) or 5-day (July 5-10) retreat.
A seminar retreat entitled "The Way of the Heart" will also be offered on the campus from July 5-10. Starting with the biblical image of the human heart and the traditional devotion of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the seminar retreat offers an opportunity to reflect on the Way of the Heart. The great dual commandments of loving God and loving our neighbor as ourselves provide the foundation for establishing a balanced spiritual life that is able to respond to the challenges of contemporary life.
Additional information on both the directed retreat and the seminar retreat can be found in the events section of the seminary web site or by downloading the brochure and registration form.
