Ministry Essentials: Introductions to Catholic Teachings, is a new course being offered this fall by Christ the King Seminary.  The course will offer foundational information on Catholic teachings, including essential themes, history and vocabulary for faith formation and other parish ministries.  Dennis Mahaney, MDiv, Director of Evangelization and Parish Life for the diocese, will serve as the primary instructor for the class, along with seminary faculty and guest lecturers.  The course sessions are designed for catechists, Catholic school teachers and principals, youth ministers, lay volunteers and others who wish to develop a deeper understanding of the Catholic faith.  The curriculum is approved for diocesan catechist and Catholic school teacher catechetical formation.  Students may opt to take all 12 sessions or choose from individual sessions.  Classes will take place on Tuesday evenings, 6:30-9:00 p.m., beginning September 13, at the seminary's main campus in East Aurora.
